Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a Nintendo Switch game released globally on January 16, 2025. It is a reissue of Donkey Kong Country Returns and one of the last reissues of a first-party Nintendo title for the Nintendo Switch before the start of the console's successor, the Nintendo Switch 2. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is actually the second reissue, as the first one was Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013 as the catalyst of when Nintendo's line-up of games would consist of increasingly more reissues, including Donkey Kong Country Returns HD.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD was ported by Forever Entertainment, whereas Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D was by Monster Games.
